About
Pemba fish farming and processing innovative cluster is based on Chake chake District-Southern Region of Pemba Island-Tanzania. The cluster is working in the area of fish farming and processing and it involves three fish farms, two fish processing groups and several individuals’ fish processors.
Pemba fish farming and processing cluster was found in 2012 after sensitization workshop on Cluster sensitization organized by Tanzania Commission of Science and Technology-, from now the cluster was formulated by identifying the core members of the cluster. Currently the cluster has three fish farms, two fish processing groups and several individuals’ fish processors. The cluster members have been successfully participating in several training and exhibitions related to their areas of production.

To become one of the leading fish farming and processing brand in east Africa region
Objectives
The main objective is to increase fish production and to process quality fishes for Zanzibar, Tanzania and East African Countries’ markets. The outcome is to contribute to social economic of the Pemba dweller through creating employment to the cluster members and those in the value chain and creating availability of animal source of protein hence improve our livelihood. Expected output is to improve cluster members income and improving fish products in various market
